The bed's too small with you

In Singapore we had a huge bed that meant that even with two children desperate to spend a night close to their parents it was possible to sleep well. Now that we have a Victorian town house and have chosen one of the smallest rooms for our 'master' bedroom we have a bed that laughs at any idea of a third body being present through the night. (In keeping with the house's Victorian heritage, perhaps.)
Last night Sean arrived at the side of the bed at some minutes before 4 am. It was a losing battle to get him to return to his own bed so I got up and let him have my place. Only an hour earlier than usual and I had work to do anyway. My only worry is that I fall asleep at the theatre tonight.
We're off to see the new David Hare play - Stuff Happens - at the National. I shall post a review of it later.
