Running thoughts

It's cold out there this morning but one of the benefits of the sudden downswing in temperature is that the spiders seem to have gone. I'm not getting web-face any more when I duck below trees.
The number of foxes, however, is definitely on the increase. I scatter them like a pack of hounds as I wheeze around corners.
Talking of wheezing, there is a short alley down which I run where the residents must now believe that steam has returned to the nearby railway. More Thomas the Tank Engine than the Flying Scotsman, unfortunately.
The letters on a car number plate (how daft does that sound?) gave me the idea for an article I will pitch later today. RMM made me think of remimbi, for some reason. So I spent the rest of the run thinking of ways to turn that thought into an article. I may let you know how that goes.
