Of Human Bonding

I'm taking Sean to his first Hearts game tomorrow. We need to get up really early (well, early for him) and catch a flight from Gatwick to Edinburgh. If the flight is on time (please, Easyjet!) we'll get a few hours of wandering in Edinburgh before the game. The weather promises to be quite mild so we shouldn't have to dive for cover all the time and it'll mean sitting in the ground won't be a complete nightmare of freezing feet and chilled noses.
This will be the first time I've been to Tynecastle since it became an all-seater stadium, although 'stadium' is probably a rather grandiose word to describe one of Britain's oldest football grounds.
Speaking of the age of Tynecastle, I updated my first Wikipedia entry the other day, correcting the date that Hearts moved to Tynecastle. If you haven't visited the Wikipedia, I recommend you do so and have a browse around. Using the random page selector option on the menu on the left of the page is a great way to come across a huge array of new information. And if you find an error or an omission, just make a change. That's the great thing about the Wikipedia: it belongs to us all. Taken to its limit, this will become the repository of all human knowledge. Well, maybe not, but it'll contain a really really large amount of stuff, anyway.
Sean and I are having a boy's week-end of it, spending Saturday night in a new hotel near the Castle. Then home Sunday morning. One of those great bonding father and son things that us guys do. I remember going off with my father on many trips: fishing; camping; hiking. Oh, wait a minute. I don't. Sorry, that was one of those false memory blitzes. He did take me to a football match once, though.
I'll report back with the result. Results. Football and bonding.
