Just getting a few things down.

We scattered Laura's mum's ashes yesterday. A small group of relatives met at the church at Limpsfield and we walked to a patch of grass in the graveyard close to where Delius is buried. Laura's dad's ashes were scattered in this spot in 1998. A large yew tree stoops over the spot and a small songbird in its upper branches chirped in monotone through the proceedings. Some tears, a poem read, and then some silent thoughts. The bird flew off as we began to leave.
