BL and Skype Zones underline Marriott's greed

Following on from my rant about the Marriott's extortionate wi-fi charges, here's an example from the other end of the scale.
I'm up at the British Library today working on an article. They always had wi-fi in the foyer and the restaurants but it has now been extended into the reading rooms, too. Good news. Even better news, however, is that among the available service providers is Skype with its Skype Zones beta. For $7.95 a month you can access as much wi-fi as you like wherever Skype has an agreement with the supplier. (I assume that the Marriott won't be on the list.)
