Paul Levine of Yahoo! Local explains what Yahoo! are doing in the local search space in this talk from last year's Where2.0 conference. I can;t help feeling that the UK is drifting further and further behind the US when it comes to local services. Some of the stuff that Paul describes sounds great but is just not currently feasible for UK locations.
